Haskap has long been known by the ancient Japanese as, “The fruit of Life longevity and Fruit of vision”.
Haskaps have their own unique taste, colour and texture. They have very tiny seeds that can be eaten with the berry. The taste has been described as tart/sweet and juicy, like a raspberry. They have a powdery blue skin, like a blueberry but the skin is quite thin and melts in your mouth.
Haskaps have more anti-oxidant that any berries on the planet. This fruit is also high in Vitamin C and A along with high fibre and potassium.
