Red Cortland Apple Tree


Cortland has a distinctive flavour. The large, round fruit is yellow-green with red and some striping. The flesh is juicy, and pure white, but not overly crisp. It has the coveted quality of not browning when cut. Cortland apples are best used for making purees and sauces, salads, fruit plates (since they resist browning), and baking. You may choose to caramelize it with onions, or you can bake wedges and brie on a pizza with it.
